Saluting Portugal’s cultural legacy around the world - New7Wonders Foundation congratulates 7 Wonders of Portuguese Origin
Zurich/Switzerland, June 15, 2009 - The Official 7 Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World were announced on June 10 at a spectacular gala ceremony in the city of Portimão, in the presence of New7Wonders Founder and President Bernard Weber. (BILD FEHLT!)
The Official 7 Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World were recently chosen by a quarter of a million votes cast online, by phone, or by text message. At the ceremony, a new national campaign was announced for 2010, to elect the Official 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal.

On behalf of New7Wonders, Bernard Weber, Founder and President of the New7Wonders Foundation, officially received and recognized the results of the Official 7 Wonders of Portuguese Origin election at the gala on June 10 in the Portimão Arena, in Portugal’s Algarve region.
